At i-SKY Global Preschool & Day Care, Tondiarpet, every celebration is thoughtfully designed to transform learning into a joyful and meaningful experience. As part of our Green Day Celebration, our little learners participated in a beautiful Nature-Inspired Name Art Activity, where they decorated their own names using fresh green leaves collected from nature.

Each child received a large printout of their name and carefully pasted different types of leaves over the letters using child-safe glue. This simple yet engaging activity allowed children to connect with nature while expressing their creativity. As they explored the unique shapes, sizes, textures, and shades of green found in the leaves, they also strengthened their observation skills and appreciation for the environment.

Beyond creating a colourful masterpiece, this activity supported several areas of early childhood development. Picking up and placing the leaves helped improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and finger strength, which are essential for future writing skills. Since every child worked on their own name, they also enhanced their name recognition, letter identification, and developed a stronger sense of self-identity.

The Leaf Name Art activity also encouraged patience, concentration, and independent thinking. Children learned that nature can be both beautiful and educational, inspiring them to value and protect the environment from an early age. Through hands-on experiences like these, learning becomes memorable, meaningful, and enjoyable.
