At i-SKY Global Preschool & Daycare, learning happens through hands-on experiences that make every activity meaningful and enjoyable. Our little learners participated in a fun Sponge Squeezing and Water Transfer Activity, designed to strengthen their practical life skills while encouraging independent learning.

In this engaging Montessori-inspired practical life activity, children used a sponge to absorb water and then squeezed it carefully to transfer the water into a tray. The simple activity encouraged children to explore water, texture, movement and cause-and-effect through direct experience.

The activity supports the development of fine motor skills, hand muscle strength, hand-eye coordination and concentration. Squeezing the sponge also helps children improve their finger and palm control, which are important foundations for later skills such as writing, drawing, holding pencils and self-care activities.

Water play provides a wonderful sensory experience for young children. As they touched the sponge, observed the water flow and repeated the squeezing action, they developed their sensory awareness, coordination and problem-solving skills in a playful environment.
